Congratulations to the New Order of Omega Members!

One of the many things that I’m involved with that gives me great pleasure is the Order of Omega at Rensselaer! This is a long standing honorary society specifically for members of the fraternity and sorority system. Along with academic success they acknowledge participation and leadership within the Greek system.

This past week they inducted 18 new members, joining the hundreds of students inducted since the 60’s when the organization first came to campus.

I have posted their photos below. Each is a thumbnail of the full size image. It is my hope that the Greeks will use these for their publicity – in their newsletters and websites, to show off some of their members to their alumni! And of course, please let your parents know!

Happy Halloween!

We were overrun by trick or treaters last night! On the home front I spotted the two little “ghouls” from upstairs giving out candy on the front porch!

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!

Now that the cold weather is upon us I find that many couples are really getting started on their wedding planning! Give us a call at 518-225-6306 to set up an free appointment to discuss your wedding plans. We are now accepting bookings through all of 2010 and all of 2011. We do book that far in advance, so to be sure that you won’t be left “standing at the alter without us” be sure to book early! The best dates, of course, always book quickly.

Getting married “off season”, such as later this year or early in 2010? Give us a call! Although we do book a variety of events other than weddings we may still have your date available.

And if you know anyone putting together a large event such as a Sweet 16, anniversary, business function, or Mitzvah – well, we cover those types of events as well!

The RSE Formal

I attended the Rensselaer Society of Engineers formal party last night to capture portraits of the members and their dates. Everyone was sharply dressed for the occasion and looked fantastic. The event was held at The Meadows which is operated by Birch Hill.

I would like to wish all my fellow Dad’s a Happy Father’s Day! I hope that you all have a simply wonderful day and have the opportunity this weekend to connect with your children.

I just finished uploading them! No wonder we were so busy – we took over four hundred photos last nite – phew!

Draper Middle School Moving Up Dance

Congratulations to my friends at Draper Middle School! I again had the pleasure of providing photo magnets at their celebration!

Everyone had a great time enjoying the wonderful music provided by Chris Hollister of Cool Cat Entertainment, munching on a variety of foods and snacks, taking snapshots of each other at the posing stations and, of course, muging for our camera! Our keepsake photo magnets will be treasured by Draper families as they decorate fridges and school lockers!

I have a ton of photos and will be uploading them over the next couple of days so – stay tuned!

Niskayuna High School Senior Gala

We joined Niskayuna’s students again this year at their Senior Gala. In between dancing and dining at the Century House in Latham, students came to get their photos taken and turned into our photo magnets. From the huge quantity we printed, its clear that lockers and fridges will be well decorated!

I’ve just finished uploading the photos. You can order copies of your favorites here on our website. While the magnets were black & white, the photos themselves are full color – so you can see how wonderful everyone looked!

Local author’s photo shoot

I had the pleasure of working today with local author Jill Peck Vona! She’s working on a new book and needed a portrait for the book’s jacket.

We took a variety of environmental portraits both in her beautiful home and outdoors in her wonderful garden.
