Melba & Passion’s Modeling Session

I had the pleasure of providing the photography to Melba and Passion, two of our area’s newest aspiring models! I had a great time as we experiemented with different poses and some outfit adjustments. The photos are now available here for viewing!

Digital Image Files

One of our services includes the licensing of digital image files. Like all professional photographers, every one of our images is copyrighted and may not be used without permission.

We do, however, license some photos for our client’s personal or business use. These are generally provided in digital format. Some examples of these include:

• internet dating photos
• modeling portraits
• business head shots
• catalog photography
• sports photography

Depending on the purpose for the photograph, an image file may be licenses in varying sizes and/or resolutions. Those which are licensed for web usage are normally provided in “low resolution” (600 x 900 pixels in size or less) while those provided for print catalogs and similar purposes are generally provided in a “high resolution” (100+ dpi). The goal is to license the most cost effective images for all of our clients.

Victor currently has one of his works of art on display at Albany City Hall in the lobby area.

Victor is also participating in the artists series currently taking place in downtown Albany. This festival, called the September In The City Art Fair is taking place this month only in Tricentennial Park (Broadway & Columbia) on Wednesdays from 11:30AM-2:00PM.

Are any of you bakers?

One of the many things I do is provide website support to small businesses. Sometimes they just need the web help, sometimes they also need photographs of people, places or products.

Once of my web site clients offers an incredibly unique product, the SuperPeel. The SuperPeel is a simple device for sliding baked goods like pies, cakes, and pizzas in and out of the oven and on and off the counter top – without damaging the baked item! The SuperPeel can be used both at home for personal baking and also makes a great addition for the food prep team at commercial kitchens.

Locally Owned Businesses

I have had the pleasure of taking portraits of some of the owners of locally owned businesses. In fact, I still have several more to take! These are going into the upcoming edition of Capital Region Living magazine which is doing a feature article on locally owned businesses. This evening the magazine hosted a reception to thank its advertisers for their support. For me, this was a fantastic opportunity to meet and network with some of the other businesses associated with the magazine!

In talking with some of the owners, I have found that many do not yet have any on-line presence! While they have thought about creating a web site some folks just haven’t gotten started. In addition to my photography, I also do web site work. Some of the folks I have had the pleasure of photographing will take advantage of my work for their existing web site or will have me develop a web presence for them and incorporate my photos.

A day trip to Schuylerville…

I was visiting a client up in Schuylerville to help her with her web site and marketing materials today. Yes, during that massive storm! On the way back, I stopped by the old Champlain Tow Path and went over to the boat launch – just to peek. I happened upon this ship steaming by with a group of folks enjoying a talk by the skipper.

Sometimes its nice to get out of the car and look around – even in the rain!
