Hawks, hawks, hawks!

I’m fascinated by hawks. I truly do not know why… but I find them very beautiful and majestic. On my travels I usually pass a location where two hawks can be found roosting, probably looking for their next meal. When I travel between the Capital District and Long Island I usually see a hawk or two along the thruway or side roads.

The other day, however, was truly unusual! I saw the usual pair of hawks although they were hiding in a different set of trees than usual. I then passed another hawk, this time in flight! And further along I passed two more hawks perched above the landscape!

Five hawks seen in the local area in a single day – a new record for me!

Fall Colors

I took a walk around the Vischer Ferry preserve this weekend and captured some of the fall foliage.

I’m always on the lookout for these guys but I seem to never have my camera with me when I spot them!

Happily this one asked me to do a portrait session! This is one of the nicer ones. I had to keep it short because the bird had to fly off to another appointment!

Jr. River Rats host the annual Rink Rat Tournament

The Capital Youth Hockey Association, playing as the Jr. River Rats, are again hosting the Rink Rat Tournament. Teams from mites to midgets are gathering in the Capital District to face off against each other!

The Midgets won the Saratoga Tournament last weekend and posed at the Times Union arena with their banner!

The Wolosen Anniversary photos are now available!

The Happy couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on May 4! Congratulations to Mike & Lubov!!!

Before their dinner celebration we gathered at one of the family houses for a wonderful family portrait session for all the “children” and their children.

The photos are now posted and ready for viewing and ordering.

The website does not currently support on-line ordering of composites (multiple images collected into a single design as in my wedding album pages). If you are interested in having me develop one of these custom creations for you, please just give me a call to work out the details.
