Schenectady High School Afterprom Party – Photo Magnet Time!

23 05 2010
We again had the pleasure to join students from Schenectady High School for their fantastic after prom party! In between activities in the cafeteria, students came to our photography “studio” to have their portraits turned into our photo magnets. The students were wonderful! Its always fun to see who has a pose already in mind and who needs a little time to ponder the options. In fact, the students were literally jumping for joy!

To see ALL of the photos, please visit our on-line store where you can view and order your favorites! On the website you can see what the photos look like in black & white like your photo magnets at the party, in full color, in “sepia” (a very flattering light brown tint) or “retro” for a slightly faded look that’s really nice!

Happy Mother’s Day

More congrats to the Order of Omega at Rensselaer!

16 04 2010

At RPI, the Order of Omega chapter has won the 2009 Outstanding Chapter award! More information and the photo I took can be found on the RPI website. Order of Omega is the honorary society for our fraternity and sorority members and I have the pleasure of being one of their advisors.

Congratulations also to their newest members, just inducted this month.

Attention all Princesses! Prom Season is fast approaching!

21 03 2010

With prom season fast approaching its important to make your portrait session reservations as early as possible! We’ll have only a limited number of openings so be sure to give us a call at 518-225-6306  to schedule yours!

Many girls find themselves left out because we run out of openings “on the day” of the prom. We actually recommend that you simply plan to get your gown a few days ahead of time and schedule a quiet portrait session for just you. Or, for even more fun, schedule a group session with two or three of your friends for a bonus on your orders. That way you can avoid the last minute panic of prom day and still have beautiful formal portraits.

And AFTER the prom, you can still have portraits done! Now that the dress has been to the prom and back, you don’t have to worry about it as much! Simply schedule a session for the week or two after the prom. We can do a special indoor / outdoor session – something more like a fashion shoot than a traditional prom portrait session.

And, if you mention this posting and book both a before AND after portrait session we’ll throw in a special bonus!

Thinking about making your own dress? Or have one that you would like to have altered or changed to make it uniquely you? One of our friends owns a sewing business, me, myself & I. They can provide you with help selecting patterns and materials, help you actually make the dress, alter a dress you already have or even make a completely custom dress for you! Visit their website http://memyself-i.com/ for more information.

Congratulations to the New Order of Omega Members!

15 11 2009

One of the many things that I’m involved with that gives me great pleasure is the Order of Omega at Rensselaer! This is a long standing honorary society specifically for members of the fraternity and sorority system. Along with academic success they acknowledge participation and leadership within the Greek system.

This past week they inducted 18 new members, joining the hundreds of students inducted since the 60’s when the organization first came to campus.

I have posted their photos below. Each is a thumbnail of the full size image. It is my hope that the Greeks will use these for their publicity – in their newsletters and websites, to show off some of their members to their alumni! And of course, please let your parents know!

Enjoy & congratulations!

Click here to see the photos… ps – they are up on my Facebook page too – be sure to tag yourself!

Senior Portraits and a Little Modeling too!

23 10 2009

Danielle visited our studio for a photo shoot yesterday and together we made some great photographs! This is the one she selected for her yearbook portrait.

Once we had that shot all set, we moved into more of a modeling-style session with some great results! All of the photos can be seen and ordered here.

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!

18 10 2009

Now that the cold weather is upon us I find that many couples are really getting started on their wedding planning! Give us a call at 518-225-6306 to set up an free appointment to discuss your wedding plans. We are now accepting bookings through all of 2010 and all of 2011. We do book that far in advance, so to be sure that you won’t be left “standing at the alter without us” be sure to book early! The best dates, of course, always book quickly.

Getting married “off season”, such as later this year or early in 2010? Give us a call! Although we do book a variety of events other than weddings we may still have your date available.

And if you know anyone putting together a large event such as a Sweet 16, anniversary, business function, or Mitzvah – well, we cover those types of events as well!

The RSE Formal

18 10 2009

I attended the Rensselaer Society of Engineers formal party last night to capture portraits of the members and their dates. Everyone was sharply dressed for the occasion and looked fantastic. The event was held at The Meadows which is operated by Birch Hill.

I have posted the photos here for all to see and enjoy. You can order your favorites through the on-line store.

Cape Cod Vacation

9 08 2009

We just enjoyed a brief get-away to Cape Cod. Beautiful!

It seems like wherever we go, someone is always fascinated by my camera!

Actually, for people pictures we usually let you clean up first!

Have a safe and happy summer!

Congratulations to Shabre!

30 06 2009

With her family & friends all around her, Shabre celebrated her high school graduation last Saturday night in style! Everyone boarded the Dutch Apple Cruise ship in Albany for a 3 hour sail down the Hudson River and back!

The music was fantastic – you could almost feel the ship bounce to the beat coming from the mid deck. The galley served up some wonderful food on the lower deck. And on the upper deck, we were shooting photo magnets of everyone!

I just finished uploading the photos to the website! Take a look and enjoy!
