Happy Halloween!

We were overrun by trick or treaters last night! On the home front I spotted the two little “ghouls” from upstairs giving out candy on the front porch!

Weddings, Weddings, Weddings!

Now that the cold weather is upon us I find that many couples are really getting started on their wedding planning! Give us a call at 518-225-6306 to set up an free appointment to discuss your wedding plans. We are now accepting bookings through all of 2010 and all of 2011. We do book that far in advance, so to be sure that you won’t be left “standing at the alter without us” be sure to book early! The best dates, of course, always book quickly.

Getting married “off season”, such as later this year or early in 2010? Give us a call! Although we do book a variety of events other than weddings we may still have your date available.

And if you know anyone putting together a large event such as a Sweet 16, anniversary, business function, or Mitzvah – well, we cover those types of events as well!

Ordering Photos

Occasionally I’m asked how to use the website to order photos so I thought I’d take a minute and try to offer an explanation.

Normally I have posted a link to the photos here in the blog. When you select that link it will bring you to my e-commerce web pages where you can view and order your favorites!

If an event had a large number of photos, such as from a wedding, I may have divided the pictures into groups to make it easier to find what you are looking for.

Once you select the group you’ll be presented with a page of thumbnail images. Simply click on the photo you want to order. Then, on its left will be a section labeled “Buy Photos”. Click on the place where it says “select a package” and simply choose what you want to order for that particular image, such as an 8×10 or a 5×7. Then it will add that to your shopping cart. When you’re done, simply display your shopping cart to see what’s in it, verify that you have ordered the right items then “check out” and it will ask for the usual name/address/credit card info and you’re all set!

Web site changes!

Hello folks. I’ve made some major changes to the web site! After seven years with my original name, I have changed my business to more closely reflect my personal style. I found that most of my clients associated my photography style with me personally and so were making referrals with my personal name rather then the business name. And so, I’ve simply renamed the business to my own name. We are now called

MJ Anderson Photography

I have changed my domain name and added a shorter www.MJAndersonPhoto.com as well.
